Webgriffe Boarding! A family evening in search of pirate treasure
For the past two years, we have decided to celebrate the people who are part of the Webgriffe team in a special way: by involving their loved ones as well.
This is how the Webgriffe Summer Party was born, an opportunity to gather the entire crew and share not only work, but also the warmth of families (wives, husbands, partners, children, parents, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and beyond).
The idea came spontaneously, without too many calculations, but looking at the result, we are happy to have promoted a more inclusive work environment and strengthened the bond between the company and our employees' families.
On August 31, just a few days ago, 80 pirates gathered in the garden of our hideout in the Emilian countryside.

Parents who saw their children's workplace for the first time, children who were finally able to associate a concrete image with the "I'm going to the office" repeated by their parents. Colleagues, some of whom are used to remote work, were able to look each other in the eye without a screen separating them, chat, and spend time together. Relatives of all degrees who, in complete freedom, created small bonds, humanizing a working relationship that often appears distant and alienating.
To make the evening even more special, we asked the Associazione Alpini (Alpini Association) of our town to prepare gnocco and tigelle. No predefined roles: everyone worked together to set the table, restock the food, and enjoy a wonderful summer evening in the Emilian countryside.
This year we decided to add an extra element, something that would further break the mold and allow people to interact differently, raising the pirate flag. This is how the idea of organizing a Pirate Treasure Hunt inside the furnace area was born, transforming our spaces into the den of an old buccaneer, full of secret maps, clues, trials, and small puzzles to decipher to find the booty.

The mini-crews formed spontaneously, mixing colleagues, children, parents, and friends. In some cases, the youngest led the group, in others, the adults allowed themselves to be carried away, getting involved.
Simplicity, often overlooked in the daily frenzy, is actually what unites us and allows us to truly appreciate what matters. On an evening like this, far from screens, keyboards, and formal roles, we rediscovered the pleasure of small things: a shared smile, an informal chat, the scent of home-cooked food.
It is precisely in simplicity that we find the true connection, the one that makes work more human and life richer in meaning. And it is with this spirit that we look to Webgriffe's future, cultivating not only professional successes but also authentic relationships.
